Der Müritz - Nationalpark Der 1990 gegründete Müritz-Nationalpark mit insgesamt 318 km² (entspricht 43.810 Fußballfeldern) befindet sich im Süden Mecklenburg-Vorpommerns. Der Nationalpark ist zu 65 Prozent von Wäldern und zu 12 Prozent von Seen bedeckt 8 Prozent des Gebietes sind Moore und 6 Prozent Wiesen und Weiden. Im Müritz- Nationalpark liegen über 100 Seen, die größer als ein Hektar sind.
